
The second from bottom club Mes Kerman has stunned Iran's Premier League pacesetter Esteqlal in the 20th week of the league.
Mes edged past the Blues at Tehran's Azadi stadium on Sunday to climb to the 14th spot of the table.
Esteqlal missed a handful of good scoring opportunities in the first half.
Five minutes to the final whistle, Ahmad Hasanzadeh scored the game's solo on a rebound to seal a valuable victory for the visitors.
In another game of this round, the title defender Sepahan blanked Naft Abadan with four goals.
Iraqi striker Emad Mohammed Ridha opened the scoring five minutes into the match, Brazilian player Bruno Correa extended the lead in the 26th minute, and Mehdi Jafarpour scored Sepahan's third three minutes into the hour mark. Correa then doubled his tally in the 82nd minute to clinch the win.
Saipa also trounced Zobahan 3-0. Mehdi Kheiri put Saipa ahead in the 40th minute, Karim Ansarifard then doubled Saipa's lead with only four minutes into the second half before Amin Manouchehri fired home the third in the 54th minute.
Foulad defeated the second-placed Naft Tehran 3-1. Reza Norouzi completed a hat-trick in the 3rd, 45th and 62nd minute of the match. The Naft's solo was scored by Hamid-Reza Fathi in the 58th minute of the match.
In the other matches of the day, Damash beat Sepasi 1-0, it was scoreless between Mes of Sarcheshmeh and Malavan, Saba downed Rah Ahan 2-1, and Teraktorsazi thrashed Shahin 3-0.
Despite the home loss Esteqlal remained on top of the standings with 40 points, followed by Teraktorsazi, Naft Tehran and Saba all with 36 points.
